{"id":67,"date":"2010-12-29T11:10:53","date_gmt":"2010-12-29T11:10:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.rocketbirds.com\/?p=67"},"modified":"2010-12-29T14:30:51","modified_gmt":"2010-12-29T14:30:51","slug":"first-post","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blog.rocketbirds.com\/?p=67","title":{"rendered":"First Post"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m\u00a0just going to\u00a0start\u00a0this blog&#8230; The other day I saw someone play\u00a0&#8220;Malice for Quake&#8221; on YouTube,\u00a0pretty much\u00a0the first, published title that Lucas, James, Pete\u00a0and I worked on,\u00a0so\u00a0I decided to kick off this blog with\u00a0a blast from our past\u00a0&#8211; thank you Marphy Black for your obscure FPS series!<\/p>\n<p>Malice for Quake looks pretty dated now (1997), but it was pretty cool for its time and it won a bunch of awards, we were among the first to use machinema style cut scenes in our total conversion, hacking the .dem format,\u00a0and I guess it was good enough for GT Interactive to publish it, together with Quake the next year in their Quake Resurrection Pack.
